Anbu Character

Ok so first I started making a scary costume b/c I like to scare the little kids when they knock on my door (muahahaha) but then that idea fell through when I realized that Halloween fell on a tuesday this year and b/c of my school schedule, I have class from 9am to 9pm and so missed out on most of the fun -_- So instead I made an Anbu costume from the naruto anime series to wear fo my anime clubs Halloween showing which was yesterday.

I made the entire costume myself - pants, inner shirt, vest, gloves, arm guards, kunai and mask to look like the manga version -> white and black instead of the anime version -> grey and black because I like it better that way . The clothes were made of broadcloth (b/c it's cheap XD), the gloves are those cheap cloth winter gloves (you know the kind that rips only a couple days after you buy them and do absolutely nothing in the way of insulation but everyone buys them anyway) that I attached bits of aluminum (pepsi can yay!) to the back with super glue and I used some left over broadcloth to make arm warmers. The white armguards are made of crafters foam and sticky-backed velcro. The kunai was made using card board, hockey tape, black paint and LOTS of hot glue (here's the tutorial I used -> [link] ) and the mask was made with papermache, white paint, red paint, black sharpie and more broadcloth on the inside to cover the eye holes (broadcloth is very thin and so you can wear the mask and see where you are going and yet no one can see your eyes). All bandages are hockey tape that I picked up at Walmart. Hmmm... what else... If you ever want to cosplay as a Naruto character then I recommend Anbu b/c it's very easy to make (took less than 48h total and most of that was drying time for paint and papermache), it's very cheap (cost me about $20-$25 to make everything from scratch) and you can personalize the costume (which I didn't have time to do -_-) b/c all anbu differ slightly (ie. Kakashi anbu wears a huge red scarf).
