Aviator Cap Tutorialby ~Cristophine

This is a simple tutorial on how to make an aviator cap.

1. sew the short ends of the headband together to make a ring.

2. sew the 4 triangles together so you get a half sphere and sew this to the headband

3. position the ear flaps appropriately and sew to the bottom of the headband.

I only lined my ear flaps to give them extra weight, but if you choose to line the entire hat, you will basically need to make two of these one of the outer fabric and one of the lining fabric and sew them together.

Yeah, I could've easily guessed that paper wasn't the best medium, but hey, I was bored and really had nothing to do.

And that's cool. Perhaps sometime in the near future I'll make it out of fabric.

Thanks for making such an easy to follow tutorial! My (novice sewer) friend is looking for an Aviator hat for her Steampunk outfit and I think she can handle this one!
