This is a simple tutorial on how to make an aviator cap.

1. sew the short ends of the headband together to make a ring.

2. sew the 4 triangles together so you get a half sphere and sew this to the headband

3. position the ear flaps appropriately and sew to the bottom of the headband.

I only lined my ear flaps to give them extra weight, but if you choose to line the entire hat, you will basically need to make two of these one of the outer fabric and one of the lining fabric and sew them together.

I got it at walmart XD I actually bought the fabric b/c one side is some sort of black suede (not really suede but it has a really short pile on it) and the other is this pleather stuff. I had some left over so I put it to good use.

Heheh I never thought Wal-Mart would sell a material as fancy-lookin' as that. You know....cuz Wal-Mart tends to be cheap....
